Creativity at the School….

Creativity at the School….

Last Wednesday we had an Arts and Crafts Day. The purpose of the day was to allow students to engage in creativity, and show how this can benefit their personal wellbeing. Students participated in 3 sessions. 1. Creating a personalised jigsaw piece. Their individual pieces will form part of a larger jigsaw puzzle, which will be on display in the school. The puzzle illustrates that even though we are all individuals, we belong to one school community.

Session 2 was making a box frame for personalised pictures that light up with LED lighting. Session 3 was making Air Dry clay art. Students made tea light candle holders to take home. The day was a great success and showed everyone that they have creative talent, even if they didn’t think so at the start of the day.
