Huge congratulations to Minisha!

We are incredibly proud of our Maths Teacher, Minisha, who recently completed the Great North Run 2026 after an impressive 24 weeks of training.
All those miles, early mornings and months of preparation paid off as she crossed the finish line of the half marathon—an emotional and incredibly rewarding moment.
Minisha took on the challenge to raise money for Anthony Nolan, supporting its vital work helping people with blood cancer and blood disorders. She has already raised a fantastic £245, with her fundraising still continuing.
This is a brilliant achievement and a wonderful example of determination, commitment and supporting an important cause.

Well done, Minisha—from everyone at Oakwood Community School!
